Why Back Nine Brokers

I spent years as a Regional Account Manager in Texas for one of the nation's largest fuel and travel-center networks. My job was simple: take care of trucking companies and owner-operators with straight talk and fast action.

After a big corporate acquisition, everything changed. Layers of approvals and rigid policies made it impossible to give you the quick, personal service you expect, and I no longer fit that model. So we parted ways.

You didn't build your business to deal with corporate red tape. You need a partner who still picks up the phone and gets things done. That's Back Nine Brokers.

  • One contact (me)
  • Direct access to underwriters
  • Fast decisions, no runaround
  • Coverage built for your operation, not a corporate playbook

If you're tired of big-company bureaucracy, let's talk.

iFuelSmart

I work with iFuelSmart to help fleets cut what they spend at the pump. It plans fuel stops around where each truck actually is and how much fuel it has left, so your drivers fill up at the right stop on their route and get the most out of the fuel discounts you already have.

  • Fuel stops routed by each truck's fuel level and route
  • Steers fill-ups to stops where your existing fuel discounts apply
  • Less guessing for drivers and fewer expensive fill-ups

Want to see what it could save your fleet? Send me your truck count and lanes and I'll get you set up.

Trucking insurance questions

What insurance do I need for my truck?

At minimum, you'll need liability insurance ($750K-$1M depending on cargo). Most operations also need physical damage, cargo coverage, and possibly bobtail insurance. The exact requirements depend on your freight type and routes. Let's talk about your specific situation.

How long does it take to get a quote?

Usually one to two weeks, and it depends on how quickly I get your info. I don't just flip you a number in a day. First I pull your DOT safety and compliance record and look at it the way an underwriter will: your CSA scores, inspections, out-of-service rates and claims history. Then we build a 30, 60 and 90 day action plan to fix what's costing you money, and I take you to market with the strongest story possible.

To get started, send me your DOT number, five years of loss runs, your driver list with license numbers, your equipment list with VINs, and your current dec page. The faster I have those, the faster you get a real quote.

How much does trucking insurance cost?

It varies based on your driving record, equipment, cargo type, and routes. Owner-operators typically see $8,000-$15,000/year. Fleets get better per-truck rates. I'll find you the best coverage at the best price. That's my job.

What makes you different from big insurance companies?

One contact (me). Direct underwriter access. Fast decisions. No getting transferred between departments. No weeks of waiting. I spent years in this industry and left corporate because I couldn't give you the service you deserve. Now I can.

Do you handle claims?

I'll help you navigate the claims process and advocate for you with the carrier. You won't be left on hold with some call center. You'll have my direct line.

What areas do you serve?

Primarily Texas, but I can help truckers operating throughout the US. Based in Fort Worth, available by phone, text, WhatsApp, or email whenever you need me.
